Richard Mathis is a fine-art photographer and digital artist based in North Carolina. His work blends photographic realism with painterly depth through a process he calls “Fusion Art: Painting with Photography.” Inspired by the wetlands, forests, and coastal light of the Southeast, Mathis creates atmospheric landscapes that evoke stillness, memory, and the quiet beauty of the natural world.
